All of our tours are led by experienced local captains who were born and raised in the Bahía Chacala area. Each captain has known these waters since childhood and comes from a long tradition of local seafaring families. Their deep knowledge of the ocean, tides, and marine life ensures that every journey is both safe and unforgettable.

Our captains are known for their professionalism, kindness, and attentive care. They take pride in sharing the beauty of Chacala’s coastline with guests and are dedicated to creating a relaxed, enjoyable experience on every trip. Whether you’re whale watching, snorkeling, surfing, or fishing, you’ll be in excellent hands.

All tours depart from the muelle (pier) in Bahía Chacala. You’ll check in first at our Bahía Chacala Tours tienda, located along the malecón (seafront walkway), where our team will assist you and confirm your departure time. From there, your captain will meet you and escort you to your lancha (boat) for your selected tour.
Are the boats safe and comfortable
Yes — all of our lanchas are well-maintained, comfortable, and fully equipped for a safe and enjoyable experience. Each vessel is operated by a professional, licensed captain who understands the local waters intimately.

We recommend bringing sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, swimwear, and a towel. Cold drinking water is always provided on board, but you’re welcome to bring your own snacks or additional refreshments. For tours like Playa Las Cuevas, be sure to bring a picnic if you plan to stay for lunch.

Absolutely. Depending on the season, guests often see whales, dolphins, sea turtles, rays, and a variety of seabirds. While sightings can’t be guaranteed, our captains know the best areas to explore, offering you the highest chance of encountering these incredible animals.

* Whale Watching: approximately

* La Caleta Surf: you are dropped off and collected at a designated time
